Downtown Montreal / -dress shirt murder-

The Montreal soleil was shining today like an 80's LITE BRITE.
I used to fight for this toy with my brother constantly.
And funny how we both ended up being creative.

Him=Photography, Me=Fashion. Kelsie, we will see!!!

I thought about this wild connection as I searched the town (again) for his 30th birthday gift. It had to INDEED be something out of the ordinary. As he truly is.
The gift is late, as I have been totally confused as to what manufactured gift
the stores of Montreal could justify 30 years with.
SO Sorry Mike, its late! but I hope you like it.

FASHION BLOG:

NEON candy colors were everywhere as I shopped searching for
something new to wear. A little funny at times but dull as
nothing is ever new. And everything old comes around.
So I laughed as I remembered all of the BRITE colors I used to wear.
And how 'cool' you could be if your ski jacket had NEON color blocking.
I also remembered taking the train to Vancouver to visit my great grandma Briggs.
And the man working on the train loved my mismatched NEON socks.
I was wearing a NEON pink sweatshirt with Barbie and the rockers screen print too.

I had a great time today with Anthony and Todd,
We ended up at Ben & Jerry's as ANT knew the crew.
Cheap ice cream is always a bonus on a hot day.
We then went to see Tim for Sangria today at Dundee's, but he wasn't there, probably out enjoying the sun. He had called in 'sick'.

I Got home, mission:
a) to destroy/fix up old clothes.
b) to call my mom and ask her to DIG DEEP into her closet and earring collection.
And
c) to also hit the (**)Leduc thrift stores as they are TREASURE CHESTS.
Most Leduc people haven't left that 80's era.

My mom, she has GREAT style. Wish she could live here avec moi!
(**Leduc: a small oil and gas boomtown just outside of Edmonton 20 minutes)

So as mentioned above,
I came home and cut up a bunch of the shirts I was about to throw away.
I figured I could make the same styles I saw today for nothing.

-Dress Shirt Murder-
1) cut off sleeves,
2) cut off along hem
3) use contrast thread & zigzag topstitch 0.25" above cut edges
4) wash
5) spraypaint with stencil(*)
6) wash
7) wear
8) save your cash, Gsus isn't THAT creative.

(*) as per #5, Todd & Anthony figure that they could spray paint my shirts. I have to see this!

REST UP for THIS week ahead folks.
