Roseleen. aka: Rosy.
Like I said previously, is moving to Toronto.
Sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do to work.
Despite the sad loss of another friend to Toronto, I am happy for her and proud to be her best Canadian friend.
It's Friday at last and according to the mblog, Matt Good is in Manitoba tonight, so it doesn't look like we are going to be seeing him anytime soon in la belle province.
He was sick and had to cancel the Montreal show. He then flew back home to repair. And is now back on tour. I am glad that Rosy and I had rented that big blasted American car and drove up north to see him. Too bad about the poor sound quality/dead vocal monitors. It was a hefty price to pay but worth every single rusty dime as it was an amazingly small venue. I thought it was odd that he would play two concerts two weeks apart anyway. And besides, he can't rant in French.
Anyway I was just saddened to see him make it further away from the dreaded smoggy east and closer to home. Sometime you gotta do what you gotta do to sing.
As I write I see and hear two new potential candidates for the apartments above AND beside me. They are both French. But as for the Guy, lets just call him "GUY" en francais, bien sur. Dit moi, what IS the deal avec male Quebecers and their riced-out Honda civics? I heard about a show on MTV called: "pimp my ride" I think that's what the name of it was. I failed to remember all details due to the fact that I couldn't believe the disgust of the human race at this point.
Guy. No matter what sort of cash you pour into this, it's STILL a civic at the end of the day. The other day I saw a riced-out NEON! COME ON! With that money people, you could actually do some GOOD for the world. But funny how we all still oooh and aww at them and pay THRU THE TEETH for monster truck shows down at THE BIG O.
SO I was quietly eating lunch at my eMAC reading www.amenesty.ca while the coworkers glowed about this show they saw. I repeat, I on the otherhand, was looking up AI offices in Montreal to go volunteer at. Who is the loser? I am really not sure anymore. Sometimes you gotta rice what you can afford to rice to get the empty headed skulls in skirts. And sometimes you gotta give what you can from the pit of your dirty North American soul to others across the world in terrible need.
