June 28th countdown

Its funny how many people I have met out here in Quebec that do not know how to:

a) vote
b) sing our national anthem
c) identify where Edmonton is
d) celebrate Canada day
e) tolerate differences among cultures
f) drink REAL beer
g) live life to the max
or
h) love.

I find it quite upsetting.
But who am I to judge, I still cannot master the french language after 5 years.
It is damn hard to learn rapidly unless you are say, Preston Manning with language coaches. But at least I am openminded enough to live among this harsh attitude away from my family to support my career and ambition.
Just don't call me American. Please, you don't want to do such a thing as that.

And I take Japanese Karate in complete french. And the Kung Fu is Cantonese.
So really I am up on most people in regards to language.
I can also speak Redneck Albertan if I need to buy a pickup truck. Or swindle a farmer for fresh warm eggs.

This is all to say that the Political Debate tonight on the dreaded french channel was decent. No hard views, simple eloquently rehearsed statements. And Harper had some new highlights added to his crop of never misplaced plastic Ken doll hair.
(Good Move!)
Harper/Layton/Martin have wicked Anglo/French accents that I can easily understand.
So I quite enjoyed having a sneakpeak before tomorrow's debate.

cbc: 8pm.

Kung Fu was great today, I am learning the TIGER form. It is SO different from Kyokushin Karate, better in some ways as the style has been tweaked over hundreds or years. But I still love Kyokushin, as it's my first love. "OSU!"
And after class, I arrived home to find my grass cut.

Such a simple taste of serenity.
